MY SONG KARABURUN’DA DOLUNAY : FULL MOON IN KARABURUN
Do you believe in chance? Me not really. Rather to destiny. Among the songs that you will discover in my new album, there is one that is really special and for which I have intense feelings. Its title will be Karaburun’da Dolunay: Full Moon in Karaburun. Karaburun is a wild beautiful place along the Aegean Sea, south of Izmir. This song is about the full moon that covers the sea with a long silver veil and transforms the surrounding mountains into mysterious creatures. I lived a full moon night in this landscape, a night without any real sleep, and this song came to me, its music was in my head when I opened my eyes. The lyrics, I wrote them a little later. More than mystery, it is magic in question, the magic of the moon, that of the games of shadow and light, that of dreams which take the place of what is real or what is real. which we call real. That full moon night, so I lived it a few years ago and now I’ve recorded the song that inspired me almost in the same place. And when we were done and walked out of the studio, the moon was there in front of us, as full and bright as when the notes and words started to dance in my mind and stirred my soul. Can you call it fate? I believe it and this song is really special to me, it is magical and I hope that when you listen to it you will feel this magic and the moon will shine as it shone that night in the sky of Karaburun.
